Library Orientation Programme for FYJC Commerce Students

The Library Knowledge Resource Centre of Uttar Bharatiya Sangh’s Junior College of Commerce and Science, Bandra (E), Mumbai, successfully organized a Library Orientation Programme for the newly admitted FYJC Commerce students on 18 July 2026 at 2:30 p.m. in Classroom No. 302.

The primary objective of the programme was to familiarize students with the library’s resources, services, rules, and facilities, while encouraging them to develop effective reading habits and a culture of independent learning. Students were introduced to the library’s extensive collection of books, journals, reference materials, and digital resources, along with the procedures for membership, borrowing, and accessing various library services.

The orientation also emphasized the importance of utilizing both print and digital resources for academic excellence, research, and overall personality development. An interactive question-and-answer session enabled students to clarify their queries regarding library facilities and services, making the session engaging and informative.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, and the students expressed their enthusiasm to make effective use of the Library Knowledge Resource Centre throughout their academic journey.

The orientation programme was highly informative and successful in creating awareness among the newly admitted FYJC Commerce students about the valuable resources and services available at the library.
