The programme commenced on 8/7/26 at 11:00 a.m. in Room No. 201 and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing various academic streams.
The primary objective of the orientation was to acquaint students with the vision and objectives of the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension, create awareness about pressing social issues, foster a spirit of community engagement, and introduce the diverse extension activities planned for the academic year.
The programme was coordinated by the DLLE Convenor, Mr. Ghanshyam Jha, along with Committee Member, Ms. Shweta Borhade.
Welcoming the participants, Mr. Ghanshyam Jha delivered an insightful address highlighting the significance of lifelong learning in developing socially responsible and professionally competent individuals. He also informed students about the opportunity to earn 10 grace marks awarded by the University upon the successful completion of the prescribed DLLE project.
Ms. Shweta Borhade provided a comprehensive overview of the DLLE’s operational framework. She explained the various extension projects available during the academic year and guided students through the processes of project selection, fieldwork execution, documentation, and timely submission of reports. Her presentation enabled students to gain a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities as DLLE volunteers.
The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which students actively sought clarification on registration procedures, project timelines, fieldwork expectations, and assessment criteria. The enthusiastic participation and keen interest displayed by the students reflected their commitment towards community service and lifelong learning, setting a positive and inspiring tone for the DLLE activities planned for the academic year 2026–27.
