Uttar Bharatiya Sangh Junior College of Commerce & Science, Bandra (East), celebrated Hindi Bhasha Diwas on 26 September 2026 with a series of literary competitions designed to promote linguistic awareness, creativity and appreciation of Hindi language and literature.
The celebration aimed to encourage students to explore the richness of Hindi as a medium of communication, literary expression and cultural identity. The programme featured four competitions: Storytelling (कहानी कथन), Speech (à¤à¤¾à¤·à¤£), Poetry Recitation (कविता पाठ) and Shayari (शायरी), providing students with opportunities to showcase their linguistic abilities, imagination and confidence.
Through storytelling, students communicated meaningful messages and moral values, while the speech competition encouraged articulate expression and public speaking. Poetry recitation celebrated the beauty of Hindi literature, and the shayari competition provided a platform for students to express emotions, ideas and social observations through creative writing and presentation.
The programme was coordinated by Ms. Pallavi Khandare, Hindi Language Coordinator, under the guidance of Dr. Swati Parab, In-charge Principal. The activities fostered healthy competition, confidence, effective communication and an appreciation of India’s rich linguistic and literary heritage.
The celebration reflected the institution’s commitment to language proficiency, experiential learning, cultural awareness and holistic student development.
At UBS Junior College, we believe that language is more than a means of communication, it is a bridge to culture, creativity, identity and understanding.
