- Introduction
The Student Council of Mahendra Pratap Sharada Prasad Singh College of Commerce and Science organised a Fresher’s Party for the academic year 2026–27 on 10 August 2026 to warmly welcome newly admitted students and facilitate their smooth transition into the college community.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Principal, Dr. Swati Parab, and the leadership of Student Council Convenor, Ms. Shobana Tennison, along with the Student Council committee members.
The initiative was designed not merely as a welcome event but as a platform for student integration, peer interaction, confidence building, talent recognition and holistic development.
- Objectives
The programme aimed to:
- Welcome and integrate newly admitted students into the institutional community.
- Provide opportunities for peer interaction and relationship building.
- Create a positive, inclusive and vibrant campus environment.
- Encourage students to express their creativity, talents and individuality.
- Develop confidence, communication, teamwork and leadership skills.

- Cultural Performances
The programme featured a vibrant array of student performances, including singing, group dancing, stand-up comedy and traditional shayari.
These performances provided students with a platform to showcase their diverse talents while developing stage confidence, creativity, communication and artistic expression. The enthusiastic participation also contributed to creating a culturally rich and inclusive campus atmosphere.
- Ice-Breaking and Interactive Activities
A series of ice-breaking games and interactive activities were conducted to encourage freshers to communicate freely and interact with their peers.
The activities promoted teamwork, collaboration, spontaneity, interpersonal communication and friendship, helping newly admitted students overcome initial hesitation and feel more comfortable within the college environment.
- Mr. and Miss Fresher Competition
The highlight of the programme was the Mr. and Miss Fresher Competition, which provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate their confidence, communication skills, personality, talent and overall presentation.
After participating in the various rounds, the following students were declared winners:
- Mr. Fresher: Ashraf Ali
- Miss Fresher: Khushi Patel
The competition served as an effective platform for personality development, self-expression and confidence enhancement.
- Student-Centric Learning and Development
The Fresher’s Party reflected the institution’s commitment to creating opportunities for holistic student development beyond the classroom.
