Celebrating the Bond of Gratitude, Wisdom and Learning
The Cultural Committee of Uttar Bharatiya Sangh Junior College of Commerce & Science organised a soulful and vibrant Guru Purnima Celebration on 29 July 2026 at 2:30 p.m. in Room No. 201, celebrating the invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping the lives, values and future of students.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome and an insightful introduction highlighting the significance of Guru Purnima and the timeless Indian tradition of expressing gratitude towards teachers and mentors. The Lighting of the Lamp, followed by an invocation prayer led by Ms. Pallavi Khandare, created an atmosphere of serenity, reverence and positivity.
Addressing the gathering, the Principal emphasised that teachers play a pivotal role not merely in imparting knowledge but also in nurturing character, values, confidence and responsible citizenship. Students were encouraged to uphold the ideals of respect, discipline, gratitude and lifelong learning.
The celebration came alive through a colourful cultural programme that showcased the remarkable creativity and talent of the students. The performances included a graceful Jogava Dance, thought-provoking speeches by Mr. Zaid Ansari, Mr. Abdul Vaish and Mr. Kushal Gowda, a melodious musical presentation by the girl students, an elegant Rakhumai Dance, and an energetic group dance presented by the students of Classes XI and XII.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the Special Felicitation Ceremony, organised to honour the dedication, commitment and invaluable contribution of the teaching faculty. The heartfelt gesture by the students beautifully reflected the essence of Guru Purnima—gratitude towards those who guide, inspire and empower us to become better individuals.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. Pallavi Khandare, who expressed sincere appreciation to the Principal, faculty members, Cultural Committee, student participants and everyone who contributed to the successful organisation of the celebration.
The Guru Purnima Celebration was a meaningful blend of tradition, culture, gratitude and student expression. It strengthened the bond between teachers and students while providing a platform for students to develop confidence, creativity, teamwork and leadership skills.
Outcome of the Event
The celebration successfully reinforced the values of respect, gratitude and reverence towards teachers among students. It strengthened the teacher-student relationship through mutual appreciation and provided students with an opportunity to express themselves through cultural performances and speeches.
The programme also enhanced students’ understanding of India’s rich cultural traditions and contributed to their holistic development through values-based education and meaningful co-curricular engagement.
