Celebrating Friendship, Unity and Togetherness

The Cultural Committee of Uttar Bharatiya Sangh Junior College of Commerce & Science organised a vibrant Friendship Day Celebration on 3 August 2026 at 2:30 p.m. in Room No. 201, with the objective of celebrating the spirit of friendship, promoting unity, strengthening interpersonal relationships, and fostering harmony and mutual respect among students.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome and an introduction highlighting the significance of Friendship Day and the important role that meaningful friendships play in an individual’s personal, social and academic journey.

The celebration was graced by the Principal, who addressed the gathering with an inspiring message on the essence of true friendship. The Principal emphasised that trust, empathy, mutual respect, cooperation and compassion form the foundation of lasting relationships and contribute significantly to students’ holistic development and the creation of a positive and inclusive academic environment.

The literary segment of the programme provided students with an opportunity to express their thoughts and emotions on friendship. Mr. Suryakant Sonawane delivered an insightful speech on the importance of friendship in personal growth and academic life. Ms. Shabnam Shaikh presented a heartfelt Friendship Day shayari, followed by inspiring thoughts shared by Ms. Nidhi Sonar and Ms. Somaiya Khan on trust, understanding and unwavering support in meaningful friendships. Mr. Eklavya Tele further captivated the audience with an eloquent Friendship Day shayari.

The cultural segment added colour, energy and enthusiasm to the celebration. Students showcased their artistic talents through a series of lively dance performances. Ms. Alshifa Ansari and Ms. Harshita Pandey entertained the audience with a vibrant performance, followed by an energetic presentation by Ms. Shakina and Ms. Rafiya. A colourful group dance by Ms. Aastha and Ms. Mahejabeen further enlivened the celebration, while a spectacular boys’ group performance created an electrifying atmosphere. The programme concluded on a high note with a dynamic group dance by Ms. Nabila and her team, leaving the audience delighted.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. Pallavi Khandare, who expressed sincere gratitude to the Principal, faculty members, student participants, volunteers and the organising committee for their enthusiastic support and valuable contribution towards the successful conduct of the celebration.

The Friendship Day Celebration was a joyful blend of thoughts, emotions, creativity, culture and camaraderie. It provided students with a platform to express themselves, celebrate their friendships and appreciate the importance of positive relationships in their lives.

Outcome of the Event

The celebration successfully promoted the values of friendship, empathy, cooperation, mutual respect and inclusivity among students. It encouraged meaningful interaction and strengthened interpersonal relationships, fostering a greater sense of belonging within the college community.
