Objective of the Programme
- To create awareness among students about the Career Katta initiative.
- To provide guidance on career planning, employability skills, and entrepreneurship.
- To encourage students to participate in skill enhancement, leadership, and industry-oriented activities.
- To motivate students to become innovative professionals and future entrepreneurs.
Report of the Programme
The Career Katta Orientation Programme 2026–27 was successfully organised by Uttar Bharatiya Sangh’s Mahendra Pratap Sharada Prasad Singh College of Commerce and Science in collaboration with Career Katta, Government of Maharashtra, and MITSC on 7 August 2026 at 9:30 a.m. in AV Room 201.
The orientation programme introduced students to the objectives and vision of the Career Katta initiative, which aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations. The session focused on promoting career readiness through structured guidance, skill development, personality enhancement, leadership opportunities, entrepreneurship, and industry interaction.
Students were informed about the various opportunities available through Career Katta, including value-added courses, certification programmes, internships, expert talks, industry visits, startup mentoring, innovation activities, and leadership development initiatives. The speakers emphasised the importance of developing professional competencies, communication skills, critical thinking, and entrepreneurial aptitude to meet the evolving demands of the modern workplace.
An interactive question-and-answer session was conducted, during which students actively participated by raising queries related to career opportunities, internships, certifications, and entrepreneurial support. The session effectively motivated students to engage in Career Katta activities throughout the academic year and reinforced the programme’s vision of transforming students into “Job Creators, Not Job Seekers.”
The orientation concluded successfully with an enthusiastic response from the participants, who expressed keen interest in enrolling for the various Career Katta initiatives.
