Gemini for Students & Bands Using Lyria: Exploring the Future of AI and Creativity

Uttar Bhartiya Sangh Junior College successfully organized a workshop titled “Gemini for Students & Bands Using Lyria” for the SYJC Science Information Technology students in Classroom No. 303 at its Bandra campus. The programme aimed to introduce students to Google’s advanced Artificial Intelligence tools—Gemini and Lyria—and demonstrate their transformative role in education, creativity, and music generation.
The workshop commenced with an insightful introduction to Gemini, highlighting its diverse applications in research, content creation, coding, problem-solving, and academic learning. Students were then given a live demonstration of Lyria, Google’s AI-powered music generation tool, which illustrated how original musical compositions and melodies can be created through simple text prompts, opening new avenues for creative expression.
The session was highly engaging and interactive, encouraging students to participate in discussions and hands-on activities that enhanced their understanding of the practical applications of generative AI. Equal emphasis was placed on the ethical and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence, enabling students to appreciate both its immense potential and the importance of its responsible adoption. The enthusiastic participation of the students reflected their keen interest in acquiring future-ready digital competencies.
